Looking into the future, we expect everything we own to be connected to the Internet. Thus, the term Internet of Things (IoT) which was officially born in 2009, when the number of connected devices exceeded the number of world population. Generally, an IoT system is a network of networks where a massive number of objects/things/sensors/devices are connected through communications and information infrastructure to provide value-added services via intelligent data management and mining for diverse applications such as smart cities, smart health, smart grid, smart home, smart shopping, environment, security, etc. It is estimated that number of connected devices will reach 25 billion by 2015 (3.47 connected devices per person for the world population of 7.2 billion) and grow exponentially to 50 billion (6.58 device per person) by 2020.
