Visualization of the Week: Sentence Drawing

This week’s top visualization is actually a new algorithmic technique for showing the aesthetic and organic beauty of language based on a very innovative use of R and the popular ggplot2 package. There is an excellent write-up of this technique called “Sentence Drawing” over on the TRinker’s R Blog: Sentence Drawing: Function vs. ArtPart I and Part II. R code is provided that produces a very cool rendering for the text of Romeo and Juliet (see below).
