Print Friendly, PDF & Email

The Los Angeles Times ran a front page article today, “For prime time, aging boomers are next big thing” which highlight a distinct trend – broadcast network audiences are getting older. This trend is driven by demographics, specifically baby boomers who watch a disproportionate amount of TV. The visualization below looks at the median age and overall ratings of all regularly scheduled, non-sports programming on the four major networks in prime time this season. Gee, I had no idea my favorite shows: Big Bang Theory, Intelligence and Almost Human primarily appealed to the 50-60 crowd!
