TIBCO_logoTIBCO Software Inc. (NASDAQ: TIBX) today announced that it has been chosen by Rail Europe 4A (RE4A), a worldwide leader in the distribution of European rail products, to provide centralized and reliable data analytics and automated reporting capabilities.

Faced with the need to manage a constantly growing volume of data while simultaneously preparing to launch new products, RE4A decided to overhaul its existing BI solution. Following an audit, the TIBCO Jaspersoft® embedded BI solution was chosen along with system integrator, Audaxis.

Previously, RE4A used multiple tools where users relied on a myriad systems for their reporting needs. For example, Excel spreadsheet software was used to analyze monthly data while more detailed daily analyses were performed using an existing BI solution that had reached its performance limits. Meanwhile, the sales reports sent to the agents came directly from the Euronet reservation system. The new project was therefore primarily inspired by the need to centralize all analytics tasks.

With more than 50,000 different travel combinations, Rail Europe 4A can use the Jaspersoft® BI suite for highly granular analysis of how individual offers are performing, as well as for sales and margin analyses. Users now have a wide range of static reports at their fingertips to analyze sales by country, distribution channel and products. This will help deliver accurate reporting to all levels, from management, through service providers, to shareholders.

Rail Europe 4A now has a reliable management and reporting tool that raises the bar for flexibility, responsiveness, security and efficiency,” said David Berriri, finance manager, Rail Europe 4A. “We are also impressed by the ease of use offered by the TIBCO Jaspersoft platform with its relatively minimalist design. Users need minimal expertise and very little time to generate, schedule or download a report.”
