Gartner estimates that the UBA market will grow from $50 million in 2015 to approximately $200 million by the end of 2017, a CAGR of 100 percent … SIOS Technology Corp., a leading provider of high availability and IT analytics software, announced that Trend Micro Incorporated, a global leader in security software and solutions, is using SIOS iQ IT operations analytics platform to enhance their ability to meet service level agreements for their critical applications running in VMware environments … Girish Pancha, CEO of StreamSets, a big data expert formerly from Informatica, founded StreamSets to satisfy the need for continuous big data ingest technology and bring more transparency and event processing to data in motion, ultimately accelerating time to analysis. The company recently raised Series A funding from Battery Ventures, and counts Cisco and Lithium among early customers … Numenta co-founders Jeff Hawkins and Donna Dubinsky have authored a piece to help sort out the evolving “AI” landscape – “What Is Machine Intelligence vs. Machine Learning vs. Deep Learning Vs. Artificial Intelligence (AI)?” … Mike Tuchen, CEO of Talend said his company will soon throw down the gauntlet and challenge Informatica to a benchmark test. The reason? Talend recently published an independent benchmark comparing Talend Big Data Platform to Informatica Big Data Edition, and even though Talend proved faster by a long shot across a host of capabilities, Informatica said “no fair”. Informatica issued a letter from its lawyers demanding that the group who performed the benchmark retract it. Talend CEO Mike Tuchen says he is tired of Infomartica hiding behind its lawyers and marketing fluff. He’s going to challenge to Informatica to set up a joint benchmark using a mutually agreeable third party … FI Navigator announced that it has raised $1.5 million in private funding, following its successful launch in Q4 2015. FI Navigator provides a web-based bank data and analytics platform for the banking vertical delivering institution-specific insights and industry-wide research to FinTech providers and financial institutions … Mobile analytics provider Amplitude Analytics announced 355% year-over-year revenue growth and a 300% year-over-year increase in customer acquisition. At its December 31, 2015 fiscal year close, it has 140+ enterprise subscription customers and thousands of users.
