insideBIGDATA Ranks High in Big Data Influencer Survey

Our friends over at Onalytica recently announced the results of their industry survey: Big Data 2016 – Top 100 Influencers & Brands. We here at insideBIGDATA were pleased to see our high rankings.

The PageRank based methodology used to extract influencers on a particular topic (tweets mentioning “#BigData” in this case) takes into account the number and quality of contextual references that a user receives. These calculations are independent of a user’s number of followers, but they do filter their lists based on how much a user is engaged in the conversation. The survey was conducted over 90 days while ingesting 960,507 Tweets, with 83,386 engaged users, and 580,636 engaged Tweets. The map below shows interactions between influencers in the big data discussion.
