Attunity Ltd. (NASDAQ CM: ATTU), a leading provider of Big Data management software solutions, announced the latest release of Attunity Visibility for Hadoop with enhanced technology to enable comprehensive data usage analytics for large-scale and fast-growing Hadoop Data Lake environments. Supporting all major Hadoop distributions, as well as enterprise data warehouses, Attunity Visibility provides a unified platform to analyze usage across enterprise Big Data systems to enable intelligent data management.

Hadoop has quickly advanced from being part of an experimentation phase with a growing number of enterprises to now being used widely in production to drive strategic analytics. According to industry researcher Wikibon, the Big Data market is expected to grow from $18.3B in 2014 to $92.2B in 2026 – a strong 14.4 percent CAGR*. Managing and monitoring these live Hadoop Data Lakes has become more challenging as these systems continue to increase in scale, driving demand for new technologies to integrate, manage and process multi-sourced data. As a result, customers need accurate and detailed information to support their data management practices such as capacity planning, which has become critical to meeting business needs while controlling costs.

Hortonworks is dedicated to expanding and empowering the big data ecosystem, and accelerating innovation and adoption of Connected Data Platforms,” said Matt Morgan, vice president of product and alliance marketing, Hortonworks. “We congratulate Attunity on the launch of Attunity Visibility for Hadoop and look forward to continuing to grow the data ecosystem together.”

New Attunity Visibility for Hadoop now provides comprehensive analytics that empower enterprises to understand and measure Hadoop data and storage usage, enabling more accurate capacity planning, optimized cost performance, and ensuring requirements can be met for data governance and compliance. These expanded capabilities include analytics across storage levels in the Hadoop File System (HDFS), as well as Hadoop data processing engines such as MapReduce, Tez, Hive and Cloudera Impala.

Hadoop is fast changing the data management landscape by delivering new business opportunities and cost-performance efficiencies. Yet with this growth comes inherent complexity as enterprises now need to better control and manage ever-growing data lakes environments,” explained Itamar Ankorion, EVP Corporate Strategy at Attunity. “Building on the extensive experience we built into Attunity Visibility in the enterprise data warehouse market, we now offer similar comprehensive capabilities for the Hadoop market, all within a single innovative and unified platform.”
