TECH TIP: Stanford Machine Learning

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

As insideBIGDATA’s most recent TECH TIP, I thought I’d share one of my all-time favorite resources for understanding the principles of machine learning – Professor Andrew Ng’s course (CS229) at my old school Stanford University. This video for Lecture 1 has nearly half a million views! There is a whole series of 20 lectures for your viewing pleasure. You’ll encounter some mathematics in these lectures, mostly linear algebra and partial differential equations so you might need to brush up on these topics. As some of you may know, Dr. Ng went on to co-found Coursera, the popular MOOC platform, and his machine learning class for the masses on that platform was Coursera’s first. Enjoy!
