Kayne Anderson Backs ColdLight Solutions

ColdLightLos Angeles-based private equity investor Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors has backed a developer of automated, machine learning and big data, predictive analytics software called ColdLight Solutions, the company said recently. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed. Kayne Anderson manages around $24 billion in capital. The companies did not say if Kayne Anderson took a minority or majority stake in ColdLight, which is based in Wayne, Pennsylvania.

ColdLight’s Neuron technology uses advanced search technology and machine intelligence to automatically seek out the value in a company’s data. Neuron searches the “data universe” of an organization to discover what variables matter and validates its insights and predictions to help managers understand their business today and predict where it’s going tomorrow. Neuron even delivers targeted guidance and instructions to help improve business performance in the future.
