syncfusion_logo_squareSyncfusion, Inc., a developer solutions company,  announced the release of Essential Studio 2014, Volume 3, the third major release of the year. This release brings a number of new features and updates, including new product for deploying predictive models developed using environments such as R, SAS, and SPSS with .NET applications.

This volume is our biggest, boldest release ever. Syncfusion is forging ahead with enterprise offerings that are unprecedented in both function and scale, with our deployment solution for predictive analytics being a prime example,” said Daniel Jebaraj, vice president of Syncfusion. “Our customers can now easily deploy predictive models without paying any deployment fees or royalties, and they can model using the environment of their choice.”

Essential Predictive Analytics is a deployment solution for predictive analytical models that uses the industry standard Predictive Model Markup Language (PMML). Modeling can be performed using environments such as R, SAS, and SPSS, and models can then be consumed directly within .NET applications with only a few lines of code. There is no dependency on back-end services or SDKs. Customers can potentially save millions of dollars in licensing fees while deploying cutting-edge predictive models to environments like Hadoop.

Volume 3 contains many additional updates, including more than 15 new control extensions for the LightSwitch HTML client. Designed for creating data-driven line-of-business applications in the LightSwitch environment, the extensions include a charting component that can produce commonly used chart types and specialized financial charts, a report viewer for rendering Microsoft SRSS, RDL, and RDLC files on webpages, and a powerful data grid control that supports data binding, filtering, grouping, paging, and more.

Also new in Volume 3, Essential Studio for Xamarin provides six controls for use in cross-platform mobile projects. The controls include a chart that supports fourteen different chart types, a gauge with extensive customization options, and file-format libraries for working with Excel, Word and PDF files without any external dependencies. All Syncfusion Xamarin.Forms user interface controls can be configured using C# or XAML, and can be deployed to Windows Phone, iOS, and Android without additional coding.

Other enhancements in Essential Studio 2014 Volume 3 include:

  • Report viewer controls for JavaScript, ASP.NET, and ASP.NET MVC.
  • Five new Windows Forms controls, including a pivot chart, bullet graph, toggle button, and tree navigator.
  • Radial menu, ribbon, tile, and color picker controls for JavaScript.

These improvements and more make Essential Studio 2014 Volume 3 a significant step forward for Syncfusion and its customers. To experience the new controls and features, visit www.syncfusion.com/downloads/evaluation to download a free 30-day trial.
