Talend, a global big data integration software leader, announced that ALDO Group Inc., a privately held Canadian corporation that sells footwear and accessories in more than 1,750 stores in 82 countries, is using Talend Platform for Data Services to support its next-generation, robust and scalable service-oriented architecture. The new architecture powers ALDO’s updated ecommerce platform, which is able to manage peak loads and deliver a positive consumer experience even as sales volume increases exponentially during peak buying periods.

Talend was instrumental in the success of our architectural overhaul, which has enabled us to optimize order processing, significantly improve operational visibility and respond more rapidly to the changing needs of our business,” said Eduardo Alvarez Alcazar, technical team lead, ALDO Group. “Ultimately however, Talend empowers us to deliver a more memorable and enjoyable shopping experience to consumers.”

ALDO selected Talend based on ease of implementation and usage, as well as the platform’s extensive capabilities and overall cost effectiveness. ALDO’s new ecommerce architecture integrates over 100 different applications, services and databases and manages everything from online order entry and payment through to billing and fraud detection. Due to its open source and standards-based approach, Talend Platform for Data Services was quick for ALDO’s development teams to learn and allowed them to be more productive by enabling greater service reuse with its single, unified workflow and toolset for data, application, and service integration.

We are proud to have been selected by ALDO to be a key component of their new ecommerce platform and to prove the value our solution during this past holiday shopping season,” said Brad Stratton, senior vice president of Sales, Talend. “ALDO is a great example of an industry leader that recognizes the value of being data-driven. We look forward to supporting the company as their integration requirements continue to scale to meet the evolving needs of their growing customer base.”
