alteryxlogoAlteryx, Inc., a leader in data blending and advanced analytics, today announced that in-database data blending with Amazon Web Services’s (AWS) Amazon Redshift is available as a part of the newly released Alteryx Analytics 10.0. Now, data analysts and other line-of-business users can harness the flexible and cost-effective processing power of Amazon Redshift to blend data at petabyte scale. With these new capabilities, the data processing within an Alteryx analytic workflow can be pushed into Amazon Redshift, where it can be executed using the vast computing resources of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud. This results in a dramatic performance improvement when blending data with the very large data sets that many analysts use to drive decisions involving customer analysis, inventory levels, financial transactions, marketing campaign optimization, and more.

Amazon Redshift offers customers a simple, cost effective way to store and analyze large amounts of data” said Paul Ross, vice president of partner marketing at Alteryx. “The combination of Alteryx Analytics 10.0’s in-database blending with Amazon Redshift provides line-of-business analysts with a unique opportunity to answer critical questions faster and with all the data sets available to them, unlike ever before.”

Line-of-business analysts and decision makers are driving a significant change in how the purchasing and deployment of analytical technologies are occurring, as they demand greater capabilities married to larger scale and speed than before. This means business decision makers and analysts are relying on their databases to be more than just data repositories – they are analytical platforms. Global customer adoption of Alteryx Analytics with Amazon Redshift has accelerated as analysts increasingly require scalable data blending and analytics in the Cloud.

We use Alteryx with Amazon Redshift because we need a fast way to uncover insights about our customer behavior,” said Julian Dell, IT Director from leading Australian online-led mobile services provider, amaysim. “The combination of Alteryx Analytics with Amazon Redshift providing fast in-database data blending and in-memory advanced analytics lets us get insights from the complex XML-based customer and call records we have, without a long development effort. This enables us to identify and respond to drivers of customer behavior faster than ever before.

The new Alteryx Analytics 10.0 platform delivers analytic independence to data analysts and other line-of-business users so they can easily blend data in any format and location without relying on other departments.

To keep pace with the speed of business, companies need in-depth insight into their customers, markets, and operations,” said Terry Wise, Vice President of Worldwide Partner Ecosystem, Amazon Web Services, Inc. “The Alteryx Analytics 10.0 platform for Amazon Redshift enhances the speed and simplicity for implementing and using analytics in the cloud resulting in smarter, more informed business decisions.”
