How Has Big Data Changed Public Policy?

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

The compelling infographic below was created by New England College’s Public Policy program. According to the infographic, global internet traffic will reach 1.1 zettabytes this year alone. That is more data than we can even comprehend at the moment and getting it to tell a story is extremely valuable not just to health and human services, but to improving education, law enforcement, city infrastructure and to mitigating government frauds. When responding to viral outbreaks or preventing future crime events, time is of the essence, as big data helps to make better decisions more quickly and efficiently.
