Saama_logoSaama Technologies, Inc., a leading Big Data solutions and services company, announced a strategic alignment with Microsoft that can deliver analytics advantage at unprecedented speed and scale. By making Saama’s advanced industry Fluid AnalyticsTM components and services available on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, customers can now build and deploy industry specific analytics solutions, and realize business outcomes, in weeks instead of months.

An estimated 75% of Big Data investments are underperforming, either because they lack the ability to address specific business needs, or they defensively focus on accommodating exploding data volumes,” said Sagar Anisingaraju, Chief Strategy Officer at Saama Technologies. “Through Microsoft Azure, we solve this problem by delivering accelerated, in-the-moment analytics that can both disrupt and transform companies’ ability to leapfrog their markets with deep and precise business outcomes.”

Along with expanding the global reach and availability of the Saama Fluid Analytics capabilities, this collaboration will bring immediate benefit to Saama’s Global 2000 customers, many of whom are seeking out cloud resources to jump-start new analytics projects, or to digest increasing data volumes through IoT and other sources.

Our customers are looking for targeted Cloud-based analytics solutions that can handle massive amounts of data and produce faster, outcome-driven results,” said James Staten, Chief Strategist, Cloud + Enterprise at Microsoft Corp. “Saama solutions delivered through Microsoft Azure enable our customers to access powerful insights across complex data sets in less time.”

Saama has made three industry-specific analytics QuickStarts – Real World Analytics for life sciences, Patient Experience Analytics for healthcare, and Fraud Analytics for insurance – immediately available on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace. Saama QuickStarts provide the initial entry point to deep, vertical-specific insights through Fluid Analytics components and service packages that provide the speed and specificity needed to achieve disruptive business outcomes.

Microsoft is an important addition to Saama’s growing strategic ecosystem, which includes companies such as Cisco, Salesforce, Tableau, Hortonworks, Informatica and Hyosung.
