Dataguise DgSecure on AWS is a data-centric security platform that scans for sensitive information stored on Amazon S3 and identifies the location and status of this information throughout its lifecycle. The solution features transparent, role-based sensitive asset provisioning on the Amazon EMR platform so that users have access to sensitive data hosted on Amazon S3 through DgSecure role-based access policies.

Dataguise support for Amazon S3 is now included in DgSecure 6.0, the latest generation software, providing coverage of current sensitive data processing across all sources, including Hadoop, SQL, and NoSQL data and object repositories. A board-level business dashboard provides a single-pane–of-glass view indicating where all sensitive data resides in the organization, regardless of location or platform. Dashboard views are provided out of the box to enable stakeholders in enterprise data security to understand coverage, exposure, gaps, and progression.

Amazon EMR is growing in popularity as a platform for easily and efficiently processing enormous amounts of data using a hosted Hadoop framework running on the web-scale infrastructure of Amazon EC2 and Amazon S3.  According to a report by IDC, “the five-year total cost of ownership (TCO) of developing, deploying, and managing critical applications in AWS delivered a 64.3% savings when compared with deploying the same resources on-premises or in hosted environments. The findings also showed a 560% ROI over five years and 81.7% less downtime.  As of October 2015, Amazon Web Services was a $7.3 billion business with more than one million active enterprise customers.
