More and more enterprises have named a CDO – Chief Data Officer – to lead the effort to protect data and turn it into an asset. CDO positions have more than quadrupled over the last four years. A CDO is a corporate officer responsible for enterprise wide governance and utilization of information as an asset, via data processing, analytics, data science, information trading and other means.
