Google Cloud Launches New Solutions to Help Manufacturers Unify Their Data and Address Industry-Specific Use Cases

Google Cloud announced the launch of Manufacturing Data Engine and Manufacturing Connect, two new solutions that enable manufacturers to connect historically siloed assets, to process and standardize data, and to improve visibility from the factory floor to the cloud. Once data is harmonized, the solutions enable three critical AI and analytics-based use cases–manufacturing analytics & insights, predictive maintenance, and machine-level anomaly detection.

Manufacturers are undertaking a massive digital transformation driven by rising customer expectations, supply chain volatility, shifting buyer behavior, and more. Yet, only 21% of manufacturers have active AI initiatives in production to help solve these issues. While data from disparate systems can be manually prepared for AI and analytics pilots, siloed data sets still need to be accessible centrally and in real-time to support production scale. Additionally, many existing AI and analytics solutions are designed to be used by data scientists and are not easy to use for manufacturing business leaders.

“Bridging gaps across systems and placing easy-to-use AI directly into the hands of manufacturing engineers leads to better results,” said Hans Thalbauer, Managing Director, Supply Chain and Manufacturing Industries, Google Cloud. “These new solutions can support workforce transformation initiatives by providing engineers with the tools to be self-sufficient, without the need for data scientists or additional integration code.”

Dstillery Launches ID-free Custom AITM to Help Brands Reach Their Audiences Without Third-Party Cookies

Dstillery, the custom audience solutions company, announced its new programmatic advertising solution, ID-free Custom AI. This revolutionary targeting technology, powered by artificial intelligence (AI), allows advertisers to reach their best customers without user tracking.

Dstillery’s patented, privacy-by-design technology works by reaching ad impressions, not users, across all internet browsers. The technology gives agencies and brands the ability to deliver advertising performance that rivals today’s best cookie-based solutions without using IDs. ID-free Custom AI is neither a new identifier nor is it contextual targeting. It’s a new category of behavioral targeting that uses AI to predict the likelihood of conversion based on privacy-safe signals like URL, DMA and time of day.

“In a future without third-party cookies, brands will have to deliver a substantial proportion of all digital advertising impressions without user identifiers,” said Melinda Han Williams, Chief Data Scientist, Dstillery. “This creates a clear need for solutions that deliver efficient targeting and scale, the two main reasons advertisers invest in digital advertising, regardless of the presence of a user identifier. ID-free Custom AI addresses this need today, allowing advertisers to identify the most valuable impressions for their brands while achieving a high ROI.”
