Alteryx, Inc., a leading player in data blending and advanced analytics, and Qlik (NASDAQ: QLIK), a leader in user-driven Business Intelligence (BI), recently announced a partnership to put more powerful analytics into the hands of data analysts and business users by integrating their products. Alteryx Analytics enables analysts to blend all of their relevant data, perform advanced analytics, and share the output with business users in the form of reports, analytic apps and visualizations. The next release of Alteryx Analytics will natively support analytic output to the QlikView Business Discovery platform quickly bringing data sources together to create dynamic visual applications that can be navigated and searched intuitively while offering the governance organizations require. Both companies also announced that they have joined each other’s partner programs.
Enterprise organizations’ demand for data analytics that can deliver deeper business insights in hours, not weeks, has increased the need for powerful tools for departmental data analysts and easier self-service BI and data exploration tools for business users,” said Rick Schultz, SVP of Marketing at Alteryx. “The combination of Alteryx and Qlik expands the number of analysts who can independently blend the dataset they need and perform predictive and spatial analysis with Alteryx, while also making it easier for decision makers to consume this analysis via Qlik’s user-driven Business Intelligence. Together, the products power a rapid, end-to-end process for answering complex business questions.”
The integration of Alteryx Analytics with QlikView delivers self-service BI and analytics to even more data analysts and business users in enterprise organizations, unlocking new use cases and enabling more users to mine and search for data that uncovers valuable business insights,” said Les Bonney, Qlik Chief Operating Officer. “Our customers have been asking for simple, natural ways to bring more advanced analytics into their QlikView environments – all while assuring strict data security, quality, and governance. Combining the predictive and spatial analytic capabilities of Alteryx with QlikView empowers users to dive even deeper into their data and generate recommendations to drive innovation.”
Both Alteryx and Qlik were recognized in the recently published 2014 Gartner Magic Quadrant for BI & Analytics Platforms, in which Qlik was named a “leader” for the fourth consecutive year and Alteryx was deemed a “visionary.” Alteryx was also recognized at the same time as “visionary” in the inaugural 2014 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Advanced Analytics.
The business analytics market is exponentially growing with many tools for business, but most tools available are not aligning to the workflow an analyst needs to help guide them from data discovery and exploration, to applying predictive analytics to gain the best possible insight,” said Mark Smith, CEO & Chief Research Officer at Ventana Research “The partnership between Qlik and Alteryx brings powerful analytics and business intelligence together to help organizations gain the most value from tools that will help them expedite the value and outcomes from analytics by analysts as well as business users.”
