With the holidays rapidly approaching, merchants need strategies to convert digital shoppers. A recent survey from our friends over at Talend found these online shopping trends:
- 60% of consumers will do more holiday shopping online this year
- 35% will do more than three-quarters of their shopping online
- 85% of shoppers have abandoned a shopping cart
- Almost 40% say they always intend to purchase items in their cart, yet only 10% always make it to checkout
According to Talend, a leader in data integration software, if retailers employed real-time big data technologies to instantly responds with timely offers and other incentives, they can recover 30 percent or more of that potentially lost revenue.
