With the Prelert solution, Blue Coat can further enhance its advanced threat protection offering with analytics designed to automatically distinguish normal and abnormal behaviors essential to identifying today’s advanced threats.

Prelert’s Anomaly Detective engine uses advanced analytics based on unsupervised machine learning to process and cross-correlate millions of data points in real-time, automatically learning normal behavior patterns and identifying statistical outliers that may indicate successful breaches or data exfiltrations. With an open API, Prelert gives enterprise application developers, cloud service providers and technology vendors, like Blue Coat, the ability to utilize its machine learning engine in their products and environments.
